Wow – this site hasn’t been updated for seven months now. That is far too long in Elizabeth land. She has continued to be a complete delight. As you will see from the photos she is still absolutely beautiful, has personality oozing out of her, has a great sense of humour and has us wrapped around her little finger.

Her talking has improved in spurts. She will go for a while with a static vocabulary, then for a while will learn a new word every day. Lately she has learned to say “Ellie……Parker” when we ask her name. She can say the name of many of her friends and relatives, but some she still won’t say, even though she loves them heaps.

She is genuinely a “little girl” now. She has developed quite a taste for tea, often having two cups with her breakfast. (Actually, breakfast is a special time of the day for us. Elizabeth and I read together and have breakfast while we try to let Mummy have some sleep, and we always have a great time!) She loves following us around and being involved in whatever we are doing. She helps me unload the dishwasher and can even put the cutlery away in the drawer by herself!

She loves being in the swing she got from Nanny and Grandpa for Christmas and never wants to get out. She likes swimming in the pool, even though she’s had a couple of scary moments in them. She can kick her legs and loves playing with us in the water. She loves to walk everywhere, but when she does she always wants to run off and explore other people’s houses or cross the road. Unfortunately she falls over a fair bit as she walks, and is constantly smashing her head somewhere. On the brighter side when she hurts herself somewhere she will normally offer up that body part for a kiss.

Elizabeth also loves drawing, and recently got an easel from Nanna and Grandad for a blackboard. She carries her little toys with her as much as possible. Now her favourites are a white dog from Angie called Ruff, a bouncing Tigger and her Care Bear (that she calls Pooh!).

I’m sure there is a lot more that could be said about our little princess, but that’s all I can think of for now. We love her more than I could have imagined – and she loves us too!
